I truly find this establishment to be outstanding! My go-to order is always the San Diego fries, generously topped with savory carne asada. What truly sets this place apart is their guacamole; it strikes the perfect balance of lime and spice, and I particularly appreciate that they thoughtfully prepare it without the usual added tomato and white onion, which is ideal for those with texture sensitivities. For a complete experience, I highly recommend pairing your meal with a delightful Sangria soda.

I was absolutely blown away by this taco spot! The team here provided truly exceptional service, and the entire establishment felt incredibly well-maintained and spotless. However, the real showstopper has to be the tacos themselves! I sampled a fantastic variety, including the Asada, Al Pastor, Camaron, and Chorizo tacos, and every single one was incredibly delicious. For something extra special, I also indulged in their "Grande" Taco de Asada, which comes generously loaded with beans and cheese, and it was an absolute flavor bomb.

I consider this my ultimate go-to spot in San Jose, especially when I need a pick-me-up after a rough day, thanks to their truly exceptional home-style cooking. The staff are wonderfully kind, even during late-night visits. My top recommendations include the Super Tacos with Shrimp, which are incredibly generous with protein – seriously, two are enough for a full meal! You also can't go wrong with any of their delicious Super Burritos. Make sure to grab some of their fantastic house-made spicy carrots and jalapeños, and definitely get the chips – they're always fresh, hot, and made right there. The quality makes it absolutely worth the cost, and I consistently leave feeling completely satisfied. While the ambiance isn't necessarily cozy, it's perfect for a quick bite or takeout, offering that authentic taqueria feel, complete with free Telenovelas playing.

My order of eight cabeza tacos was a truly disappointing experience, as the meat itself was quite off-putting. I initially mistook the peculiar yellow ridges for chili seeds from the salsa, but it quickly became apparent they were an inherent part of the meat, an appearance I've genuinely never encountered before in any cabeza. While I certainly hope it wasn't spoiled, the fact that I even had to question the quality of the meat is a significant concern, especially since the taste was simply not right from the very first bite. Consequently, I absolutely cannot recommend it. My updated opinion remains firm: this was, without a doubt, the worst cabeza I have ever tasted, which is precisely why I've given it a single star.

I can't recommend Taqueria Lorena's enough! Their service is wonderfully quick and friendly, and the food they serve is consistently high quality. I had a chicken burrito for lunch, and it was incredibly delicious and perfectly satisfying. It's truly an ideal spot for a speedy, convenient meal, and I'm definitely planning to return soon!
